The location is ideal to wander the city and see the sites, central to everything. One can feel the historical significance of the building but renovations and loving upkeep makes it fresh and inviting. The hosts, Sue and David are always available for questions, responsive and seem to anticipate what their guests might need or want before it's even articulated.
The space effectively uses light and mirrors to make each room feel bright and airy. It's both modern in its amenities and old and historic in the location and despite its age the building never once feels dated, stuffy or dark. In fact every room provides its guest a welcoming cozy place to sit or enjoy. It's clearly well loved and attended, immaculately clean and polished. The kitchen is a marvel to behold, well stocked and thoughtful in its amenities. All the appliances are top of the line.
From start to finish, Sue was an incredible host! She responded immediately upon booking and spoke with me on the phone, making me feel reassured about everything. She greeted me and my daughters at the door and offered to help with bags.
We stay at Airbnbs a LOT and this has to be the top I've ever stayed at in terms of cleanliness and well-stockedness! Dyson hair dryer, roof deck with the BEST 360 view of the city — worth sitting out even in winter temps. High quality kitchen pans and appliances. Quiet area, AMAZING shower water pressure in all showers, incredibly comfy beds and pillows, ten minute walk to Newbury and Copley, very close to Symphony Hall and Wally's Jazz Club, pizza place a stone's throw for a quick bite.
Sue was overly accommodating without being intrusive. Finally, they were SO WELL STOCKED! Detergent, dryer sheets, paper towels, etc. We wanted for nothing the entire time. BETTER than the already impressive listing description and photos! 10/10 recommend!
Wow, what can I say? This property was perfect for us — me and my husband and brother and SIL. Beautifully furnished, exceptionally equipped kitchen, fantastic rooftop for early evenings and wonderful location. Sue is professional and more than accessible. We hope to be back soon!
Our family had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this property. Susan and David were fantastic hosts and were very welcoming! Communication was great, and they were very helpful with recommendations and information regarding the city.
The location was perfect, easy walks to everything including restaurants, grocery and convenience stores as well as Back Bay. There were great options for running, including paths for our family of runners. The close proximity to the orange line made navigating the city easy since we had older adults with us.
The apartments were extremely clean and comfortable. After a day of exploring it was great to come back and relax in the living area or rooftop patio which had amazing views. Our family has deemed this trip a favorite and are already missing it.
We absolutely loved staying at this beautifully upgraded brownstone in the heart of Boston. The rooftop patio has amazing views and was one of our favorite features of the property. We had two families staying in both units, and the setup was perfect for our group. The hosts were incredibly responsive, helpful, and provided excellent local recommendations. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait to return for another stay!
We absolutely loved this 4 bedroom brownstone with our own private rooftop deck! The view is absolutely amazing! We enjoyed coffee in the mornings up there (which Susan graciously supplies) and we enjoyed our wine, cocktails and family time at night with the beautiful skyline view!
It was perfect for our family of 8. Every room has a king bed and very comfortable for 8 people. We have stayed in a lot of airbnbs and this is definitely one of our favorites! And Susan is just the icing on the cake! She met us at check-in and made us feel so welcome like it was our own home! If I had any questions, she was immediate to respond. She was awesome! We enjoyed it so much and will definitely be back!
The apartment was the perfect base to explore the city, lovely shops, restaurants and homes all around. Underground station very close by. Attention to detail in the apartment was excellent — linens, crockery, everything you could need. The roof terrace was an absolute delight, special views and we barbecued, which was such fun. Sue was the most attentive hostess, nothing was too much trouble. Loved our visit.
We traveled with family (8 adults) and stayed in these beautiful condos for 4 days. We've all been to many VRBO's in the past and this was by far, the best place we've ever stayed. Location was perfect in a nice neighborhood with a 2 minute walk to the subway.
The condos were gorgeous and well stocked with dishes, towels, pillows, and extra amenities like toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, umbrellas… I could go on and on. The owners thought of every detail and were so attentive and helpful to us. We were greeted upon arrival and received more tips for places to go and things to do. Boston is an awesome place to visit and we wouldn't hesitate to come back here again.
Susan's home is a beautiful old brownstone with a completely renovated, modern interior. It is a comfortable place to stay to explore Boston. You can easily walk to Boylston Street and the surrounding area. Many nice restaurants and shopping are convenient. The area feels safe.
The listing and pictures are accurate. Susan is also very proactive in messaging to meet any needs or questions. We didn't need any help, but it was clear that she would respond quickly if we did. Thanks to Susan for a great experience!
Wonderful host and property with amazing views. Highly recommended this property. Kitchen was well stocked and host went above and beyond to assure our stay was seamless and enjoyable for my husband's birthday trip with our adult kids. Property was very clean, which is very important to me. Will stay here again.
The penthouse was the perfect home for us while we explored Boston for a few days. The location is fantastic, we walked everywhere. The home is spacious and perfectly appointed with very comfortable bedding, a cozy living room to watch TV with cable and all channels available. The kitchen had everything, but with so many amazing dining options within a few blocks, we didn't eat in much. This is by far the best vacation rental in Boston. We will definitely be back.
Superb duplex in great condition and very clean. Access to roof deck with great views of the city. That is where we had coffee and breakfast in the morning and spent a leisure hour or two talking at dusk. Amenities were great with Cuisinart coffee makers and coffee in each unit. Lots of clean towels and easy to use washer and dryer.
I highly recommend this duplex for so many reasons: proximity to the T, restaurants, Fenway, tours as well as the unit itself is comfortable and in impeccable condition. Thank you Susan.

My family and I recently stayed at this property. We rented both of the apartments. I have to say this was the most well stocked, beautifully laid out rental we have had the pleasure to stay at. The kitchen, laundry room and bathrooms had everything you could need. I think they were better stocked than my own home.
The location could not have been better. A bus stop was literally across the street and the subway was 1/2 block away. Plenty of great restaurants and grocery stores were in easy walking distance. Our host was very informative. We really enjoyed meeting her.
The only drawback was the stairs. We had a lot of luggage and baby paraphernalia so getting everything up and back down was a little challenging. Overall this was a great spot especially if you have a large group. Location could not be more convenient. Apartment was spotless and beautifully decorated. Susan was a great host. I would definitely book this property again.
The location was so perfect for us! It was our first time visiting Boston and wanted to stay in a brownstone close to Fenway! It was only a 15 min — we went to all three baseball games for opening weekend. The place was so beautiful & the deck on top had amazing views. We had everything we needed!
Our hosts were extremely nice to deal with. The penthouse was exactly as pictured in the listing. Great location, beds were comfortable, a/c was perfect, the roof patio was such a nice touch. We were very impressed!!
Susan's place was absolutely gorgeous! We enjoyed our time and would absolutely stay again. Location was prime, the interior of the home was gorgeous and the rooftop patio was surreal! Susan was so accommodating and extremely communicative.

This property is everything you hope you walk into in a rental! Hosts were welcoming, accommodating and easy to correspond with. The penthouse is beautifully furnished, SUPER clean and very well stocked. The hosts offered helpful recommendations and guidance during our Boston stay.
The beds and pillows are very comfortable and all of the linens are high quality and well cared for. The property includes the most gorgeous rooftop views of the South End. Sue provided clear instructions for parking and entering the building which made for an easy arrival. We highly recommend the Penthouse for your next stay and we hope to return soon!

Our party of 6 cannot do more than give 5 stars (10 stars if we could) to these amazing brownstone penthouses. Stunning old architecture infused with modern high end design.
The hosts are super responsive and thought of everything needed for a perfect stay. House was extremely well equipped with all the staples of home.
Walking distance (or minutes away from orange line subway stop) to many city landmarks, parks, grocery markets (we didn't cook but the kitchen has top quality appliances and cookware if you do) and fabulous restaurants.
Don't miss the rooftop deck with stunning city views for morning coffee or late night cocktails. Can't wait to return to Boston and rent from David and Susan again.
Susan's brownstone is located on the edge of a great neighborhood called Southend loaded with restaurants and small businesses. It is also adjacent to Northeastern University and the Boston Metro's Orange Line. We were in town for an NEU graduation so the location could not have been better.
The brownstone itself is beautifully decorated and chic. As a family of 9, we felt very comfortable in the 4 bedrooms with ample space for eating and entertaining. Mattresses and bedding are very comfy. Coffee, cream, Pellegrino water, butter and other small but necessary items are provided to get the mornings going. Whole Foods is just blocks away for everything else. We appreciated the generous supply of Tupperware, baggies, serving platters, etc. I loved that the apts also each had a w/d, a.c. and black out drapes. Big pluses! Shower water pressure is great.
Small minuses are lots of stairs, noisy street by day (fine at night) but that's life in a city, right? Susan is super!
Susan's place was beautiful and the perfect fit for our family of 3 as well as both sets of our parents, 7 total!! We came to town for the marathon and to check out Boston. The location was fantastic and allowed us easy access to public transportation as well as walking to most places. Susan and David are the best hosts you'll find, they are helpful and very fast to act and respond to all questions and concerns. The house was fully stocked with all we could have needed and more. It was also very clean and you could tell there is a lot of attention to details. We will 100% book with them again when we go back to Boston next! Thank you again for a great week!!
We recently stayed at this amazing apartment and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The facilities were top-notch, and the hosts were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The location was perfect as well, with easy access to public transport and all the amenities we needed just a short walk away.
The apartment itself was beautifully furnished, spacious, and had everything we could possibly need during our stay. The kitchen was fully equipped, the beds were comfortable, and the entire place was spotless.
What really made our stay special, though, was the attention to detail and care that the hosts put into everything. They were always available to answer our questions and provide recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the area.
Overall, we would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable place to stay. It exceeded our expectations in every way and we can't wait to come back.
My husband and I had a great stay at Sue and David's place! They were very friendly and attentive. The apartment was beautifully updated with high end appliances and lots of natural light. The beds were super comfy with hotel quality linens. There were plenty of great food places nearby that were easy to DoorDash! We would definitely come back and stay here.
I met with friends for a girls' weekend and we had a wonderful time at Susan's place. It's beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The bed and linens were amazing. She also has a well stocked kitchen so we enjoyed cooking one night at home. It was a quick walk to Newbury St and the Prudential Center and lots of restaurants. We can't wait to go back!
We really enjoyed our stay at Susan's place. It is very clean and she made sure it had the right amenities. Susan went above and beyond to make sure our stay was special. The location is in a busy section of the city but it is very convenient to transportation and a lot of attractions.
Susan certainly deserves her Super Host status … she was very quick to respond to all my queries … helped us enormously with recommendations for great restaurants in the area and fun things to do.
The Flat was beautiful and sparking clean … Everything was made very easy by Susan … and we had a fabulous Airbnb experience and wonderful week in Boston. Highly recommend this flat for its host … location & stylish space
The apartment is a high ceilinged, traditional Brown stone maintained in perfect condition. It couldn't be better sited with two T stops within a block or two, the Harvard bus-stop outside the door and a whole foods supermarket down the street. I was initially worried that it would be noisy at night but the bedrooms overlook a quiet park out the back (and in fact the traffic wasn't a problem anyway).
It is a full-time rental property and the decor reflects this — a lot of silver and glass — but it had the best equipped kitchen (and laundry) of any apartment I've rented. There is television in every room and both air-conditioning and ceiling fans. The apartment is light and sunny. Our host Sue provided perfect instructions and was prompt and helpful in all of our communications.
Our daughter goes to Northeastern so, each year, we visit Boston and stay in an Airbnb. Susan's place was the best we've stayed in. Everything about it, from the super comfy beds, to the fabulous location, was perfect. I can't recommend it highly enough!

Susan's place was by far one of the best I've every stayed at. She responds instantly to any questions we had and is extremely thoughtful. My family came here for my graduation and was very satisfied with the place. My dad specifically said he only wants to stay here in the future when he comes to visit again. It was one of the most incredible stays I have ever had in a City and with Airbnb. Susan and David had an incredible level of care and attention with us. The home is amazing, very well located, elegant, spacious, clean and most importantly, welcoming by Susan's care towards her guests. Sue's apartment is fantastic! Everything is new and clean and exactly as described on the website. Sue was super responsive and helpful! There was even a full breakfast in the fridge! I would totally recommend staying at this place when visiting Boston!
